Originally from London, I moved to Paris for six months – and stayed. It’s now been ten years. As well as the UK and France, I have lived in India, Mauritius, Spain and Turkey, giving me a taste for different cultures early on. Now a hopeless travel addict, I have visited more than 40 countries and as a symptom of my addiction, I have developed an inexorable passion for reviewing hotels of which I have visited about 400 worldwide. And with travel also comes languages so I am bilingual in English/French and I speak Spanish and Mauritian Creole.
I started my career in marketing at the International Herald Tribune’s headquarters in Paris and went on to write travel news, features, hotel reviews, and destination guides for Easyvoyage UK’s former online travel magazine, where I was later appointed as Editor. Today, I cover lifestyle subjects from travel to the arts for various publications including The Guardian, The New York Times, BBC Travel, Wallpaper and Forbes, among others. I am Copy Editor for the English edition of the Parisian women’s lifestyle magazine Madame Figaro, and I am the Editor of the Luxos magazine, a Parisian luxury lifestyle print title.
My strengths are in editorial digital and offline editorial strategy, coordination and management, brand content and development, and translation. In these fields, I have worked with various clients including L’Oréal, Publicis and Les Echos.
Most of all, I revel in new challenges and never cease to believe in the power of innovation. If you’d like to commission me to write an article or branded copy, to translate some heavy-duty French, or you’d just like to say hi, I’d love to hear from you – have a good day!
